Response to Martha Colburn

I think more than any other film maker we saw I had really polarizing opinions on her films. I wasn't a huge fan of the ones that use dolls and boats in that kind of herky-jerky fashion. But I thought the Freedom Force film was incredible, I'm not even sure what I was watching but it was so unlike any other cutout animation I had ever seen before. And the Pug Adventures thing was easily my favorite thing I've seen in this class. I mean, a smiling puddle of urine named Puddle? Earth shattering stuff. If I'm coming across as sarcastic, I promise I'm not being so, that whole video is right in line with my sense of humor. Overall Martha seems like a really interesting person and I hope her work continues for decades to come.

As for their presentation, it was good, but I noticed they did more videos and less slides than most of the other groups, I don't have a problem with that personally except I would have liked to have done the same but I thought we could only have 5 minutes worth of video. I think in this case its definitely different though since Colburn is still very much alive and active so there hasn't been as much written about her yet I'm assuming.
